MAPEI Mapelastic Smart is a two-component, highly flexible cementitious waterproofing membrane for suitable concrete and cementitious substrates. It is used in specified waterproofing systems for swimming pools, balconies, terraces and bathrooms.

What is included?

One 30kg kit contains 20kg Component A powder and 10kg Component B liquid. BuildMart sells the complete kit at A$188 per kit. Components are not sold separately.

Planning coverage

For the current Australian specification at 2mm dry film thickness, allow approximately 4kg/m², giving approximately 7.5m² per 30kg kit. Actual consumption varies with substrate condition, application method and detailing. Do not reduce the specified membrane thickness to stretch coverage.

Preparation and application

Mix the supplied components in the specified 2:1 ratio by weight without adding water. Prepare the substrate and detail joints, corners, drains and penetrations as required by the specified system. Follow the current Australian technical data sheet for reinforcement, coat thickness, curing and tiling requirements.
